Originally called Kangshan Agricultural Citizen School, KSVS was officially established in 1936, then renamed Kaohsiung County Kangshan Agricultural Vocational Junior School in 1945. Four years later, the school recruited junior high school graduates as well and consequently removed “junior” from the school name as Kaohsiung County Kangshan Agricultural Vocational High School.

In 1967, in response to the rapid technological development in Kaohsiung, the school was expanded from an Agricultural Vocational Junior High School to an industry-related vocational senior high school, and then renamed “Taiwan Provincial Kangshan Agricultural & Industrial Vocational Senior High School”. In 1968, the night school was founded for the adults as part of continuing or extension education, or for the students who may feel more convenient to get to school in the nighttime. In 2000, as a result of implementing provincial downsizing, the school was renamed “National Kangshan Agricultural & Industrial Vocational Senior High School” until now.校景_3
